Privacy Policy

Effective 20 September 2026 · Advista Marketing (P) Ltd

This policy covers two different things: this marketing website, and the Dhanda app used inside a store. They handle data differently, so they are described separately.

1. Who we are

Dhanda ("we", "us") is retail billing, inventory and accounts software for stores. The entity responsible for the data described here is Advista Marketing (P) Ltd.

Enquiries can be sent through the contact form or to support-dhanda@advistaltd.com. Our registered address is #273, 2nd Main, 1st Block, R.T Nagar, Bangalore, Karnataka, India 560032. CIN: U74999KA2019PTC128600.

Grievance Officer: Mohammed Ismail (grievances@advistaltd.com). We aim to respond to grievances within 48–96 hours.

2. This website

2.1 What we collect

This website is a set of static pages. It does not run advertising, session-recording or third-party tracking scripts of our own. The only information we receive from a visitor is what you choose to type into a form: for the contact form, your name, email, subject and message; for the beta signup, your email address. We also receive the date and time of submission.

As with any website, our hosting provider records standard server logs — including IP address, request path and user agent — for security and operational purposes.

2.2 Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and provide support you have asked for.
  • To keep the site secure and available, and to investigate abuse.
  • To meet legal or accounting obligations where they apply.

2.3 How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept for 3 years, unless a shorter period applies because you asked us to delete them. Server logs are retained according to the hosting provider's standard policy.

3. The Dhanda app

The app is used by store staff, usually on a store-owned device. The store decides what is entered into the app, and we process that data on the store's instructions. If you are a customer of a store, the store is your point of contact for questions about your details; we will assist them.

3.1 What the app handles

  • Account and identity data. Staff sign in through an identity service we use. We receive an account identifier, your email address, and your organisation and store membership. Passwords are handled by that identity service and are never stored in the app.
  • Store operational data. Sales, bills, cart contents, returns, held orders, product and inventory records, purchases, and the store's own payment settings.
  • Payment information. Amounts, a transaction reference, a UPI identifier (VPA) and a payment status. Payments are made in your own UPI app; we do not receive or store card numbers, UPI PIN, or banking credentials.
  • Device data. A device identifier, an enrolled device key, and a store/device binding, so that a device can be trusted and revoked. The app generates a cryptographic key pair on the device; the private key stays on the device and is not transmitted.

3.2 What the app does not do

  • It does not collect your location.
  • It does not read your personal contacts, SMS or call history.
  • It does not contain advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
  • It does not process your card details; card and UPI payments are completed in the payment provider's own application.

Where a feature requires a permission, the app asks for it at the point of use rather than at install time.

3.3 Data stored on the device

The app is built to keep working without a network connection, so store data is held on the device as well as sent to the server. A local database holds sales, cart and queued records; in production builds this database is encrypted at rest. Sign-in tokens and device credentials are held in the operating system's secure storage, not in plain files.

Because records exist on the device, data may remain on a store device until the app is signed out, its data is cleared, or the device is wiped.

3.4 Synchronisation

Queued records are transmitted to our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and authenticated with a device token.

4. Your choices

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal data using the contact form. To delete an account or store data, use the dedicated page. We will verify identity before acting. We aim to complete verified deletion within 3 months, excluding transactional records, which are kept for 7 years. Other personal data we hold is kept for 3 years unless a shorter period applies.

5. Security

We use access controls, per-store data isolation, encryption in transit, and encrypted local storage. Report security issues to support-dhanda@advistaltd.com.

6. Age

Dhanda has no age gate. It is business software used by store staff, who are enrolled by the store. The store is responsible for who it gives access to. We do not market Dhanda to children.

7. Changes

When this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting stores will be communicated directly.

8. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
